Dr. Lastihenos is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who has been practicing in the
Bay Shore area since 1994.

  He received his undergraduate degree with honors in Chemical Engineering from the Cooper Union in New York City.  He received his medical degree from the State University of New York in Syracuse and then complete a general surgery internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, NY.  Dr. Lastihenos also completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City where he served as a team doctor for the New York Jets and New York Rangers.  His interests include sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery.
