Dr. Richard Tabershaw, M.D.

    Dr. Tabershaw is an Ivy League trained board certified Orthopaedic surgeon and has been practicing orthopaedics for over 25 years in the Bay Shore, New York area. He attended medical school at Georgetown University in Washington D.C., did his internship and two years of general surgery residency at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Manhattan. Dr. Tabershaw then did his orthopaedic residency at New York's Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center.

    Dr. Tabershaw was Chief of Orthopaedics at Southside Hospital from 1997-2006. He specializes in both shoulder and knee arthroscopic surgeries, as well as hand surgery. Dr. Tabershaw has been featured in Castle Connelly's Top Doctors for the past 10 years and has been listed in Newsday's Top Orthopaedic Surgeons of Long Island from the time of its inception. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Arthroscopy Association of North America as well as maintaining membership in both local and state medical societies.
